Why Not International was formed in 2013 and is based in Boston, Massachusetts. It is the brainchild of an ethnically diverse group of individuals, hailing from three continents, who are actively engaged in the promotion of social issues that we consider to be particularly pertinent and pressing.
The “Why Not…” idea stems from the fact that one member of the collective is a host for international English language students. Many of these students inquire as to whether or not particular activities are possible, to which the host would often reply, “Why not?” One student, wanting to show his appreciation, had a T-shirt custom made with the words “Why Not?” printed on it and offered it to the host as a parting gift. It was then that other students began to offer T-shirt ideas, such as “Why Not legalize marijuana?” and “Why Not legalize gay marriage?” and “Why Not educate every child?”
Our aim is to highlight important issues and spark debate that leads to greater acceptance of each other. Our ideological bent at Why Not International is one that is decidedly liberal. For every purchase, a percentage of the proceeds will be donated to charity. See here for more about our company mission.
